With less than three days to go before the arrival of the Archimedes screw key final preparation become a priority - the clearing of the area that the screw will rest in once it is lifted down from the Union Road bridge, levelling the entrance to the Torrs Hydro site, the creation of what looks like a giant go kart that the screw will be lowered onto to enable it to be safely moved into position over the next week - all key tasks and all completed so we're just about ready to go.
Below we see the cradle part assembled and also being transported to temporarily live beneath Union Road bridge until Sunday.
